Hypnotherapy can help with many conditions where the cause or exacerbation of the problem is rooted in the mind, even though it may manifest itself physically in the body. One of the biggest issues people have sought help from me with is stress and anxiety disorders, which can appear in the body under a number of guises and symptoms.
Through hypnosis it's possible to access the subconscious mind where negative beliefs, thoughts and behaviours can be updated to more positive ones. The solution focused aspect of the therapy helps you consciously change the thought processes so no longer are you caught up in a trap of negative thinking, catastrophising situations and seeing everything in black and white thinking terms. By working on both the conscious and the subconscious at the same time we can help lift you out of the downwards spiral and give you the tools to build a more positive outlook on life and regain your sense of control and autonomy.
